TAG_INTERNET_IOP 와 TAG_MULTIPLE_COMPONENTS 의 각 프로파일에 포함되어 있는 TaggedComponent 는 프로파일 태그에 사용되는 이름 공간에 고유의 형식을 이용하는 일의의 수치 태그에 의해 식별됩니다. 컴퍼넌트 태그는 OMG 에 의해 할당할 수 있습니다.

컴퍼넌트의 사양에는 다음의 정보가 포함되지 않으면 안됩니다.

• 컴퍼넌트 ID: OMG 로부터 취득되는 복합 태그
• 구조와 인코딩: 컴퍼넌트 데이터와 encode 규칙의 구문. 컴퍼넌트치가 CDR 캡슐화로서 encode 되는 경우, 캡슐화되는 IDL 형과 그 값의 인코딩에 사용되는 GIOP 버젼 (GIOP 1.0 이외의 경우)이 컴퍼넌트 정의의 일부로서 지정되고 있을 필요가 있습니다.
• 시멘틱스: 컴퍼넌트 데이터의 사용 목적
• 프로토콜: 컴퍼넌트 정의의 대상이 되는 프로토콜과 컴퍼넌트가 다른 프로토콜에 의해 사용 가능이도록(듯이) 의도되고 있을까
• 최대로 1 회: 이 컴퍼넌트의 복수의 인스턴스를 프로파일에 저장할 수가 있을까

프로토콜의 사양에는 컴퍼넌트가 프로토콜에게 주는 영향이 기술되어 있지 않으면 안됩니다. 이 때문에, 프로토콜이 사용하는 각각의 TaggedComponent 의 프로토콜 정의에 다음의 정보를 지정할 필요가 있습니다.

• 필수: 프로토콜을 서포트하는 프로파일에의 컴퍼넌트의 편입이 필수 (MANDATORY PRESENCE)나 필수가 아닌 (OPTIONAL PRESENCE)인가
• 드롭 가능: 컴퍼넌트가 필수가 아닌 경우, 어느 컴퍼넌트 (존재하는 경우)를 남겨, 어느 컴퍼넌트를 드롭 할까
